This is from David Berlinski, a senior fellow of the Discovery Institute; it is the last sentence of his paper « On the Origins of Life« . I think it resumes quite correctly the attitude of many, if not most, if not all, of the Intelligent Design proponents:
In the end, these are matters that can only be resolved in the way that all such questions are resolved. We must wait and see.
That’s the general problem with the Intelligent Design idea, it’s easier to say it was designed rather then find out how it happened. Others would say « Go and Find » and I clearly prefer to belong to this second category.
Anyway, what should we wait for, others to do the job or the last judgement?
